btw, [livejournal.com profile] head58, I'm curious--are there any snafus I should know about with this player, w/r/t it not jiving with other programs? Just curious and would like to know ahead of time. Thanks!

In other news, the server was up again for a mere half hour and now it's down again, damn it. grrr....

Visiting family this weekend went well. Was good to see them before heading out to California! Thanks for all the pre-Christmas gifts! :)

Also met with Aunt-in-law yesterday too...thanks for those gifts too! :)

Visiting friends at YC was interesting. Not to spread any bad rumors, but some of them have said that it was good that I got out of there when I did. Not that the company's going downhill or anything, but I got the feeling that the way the place is managed, added with the surprisingly large number of temps there, it almost feels as though it wouldn't have been fun to work there anymore. Of course, I've been complaining about the place ever since I got on LJ, and even though overall I enjoyed my stay there, it just didn't seem like fun anymore. On the positive side, though, I was happy to see that my friend Bruce is doing well and enjoys his job, now that he's out of shipping. He's looking healthier and a lot less tired, even if he is working third shift.

Still nervous about getting a job out in SF. I'm sure I'll find something somewhere, I'm just nervous about it is all. I've been here at the present place since May, so another job change feels weird to me. Well, we'll see what happens...

After not doing a list for the last few years, I believe I'm going to be updating my End-of-Year lists again and this time posting them here. More on that in another post...

Okay, that's all for now...

I don't know of any probelms with the player working with other programs. I use the Rio Music Manager software to load tracks onto my player and make the playlists. Never tried any other program to do it.

Good to know. I probably won't use MusicMatch to move the tracks, as that program's a bit wonky (though I still love it so, in some strange way...). Thanks!

Be sure to grab the latest version off their website. The older version I have is a smidge buggy, and completely wipes out playlists when you try to add anything once in a while. :(

Thanks!

And I think LJ doesn't like you...you're the only person whose comments aren't being mailed to me...
