Spare Oom Part Deux

Okay, the PC has now been reconfigured--that is, put back to how it was set up when I first opened up the box. That is, 'factory setting'. Yes, as much as it irked me to do so, that's the step I took. The first thing put in the cd drive was the install disk for my wireless doowacky, and that worked nicely. That was followed quickly by the Norton 360 upgrade I'd paid for but never got to upload. All is well now.

SO! This means a few things...I'm going to be a bit more draconian with what I put on here now, considering what happened. I had a lot of extraneous programs I never used all that much, so now's the time to consider if I really want to add them again. Some I will, some I may not.

Next step: Getting MS Word 2007 up and running, and downloading Media Monkey. To be honest, aside from the internets, that's pretty much all I need. Everything else is gravy.

No, it reports stuff--more so than when I had McAfee, actually. Just doesn't eat up a ginormous chunk of memory when it's running a scan like McAfee did.
