What is this "sleeping in"?

Completely awake at 5:45 this morning. Yeesh!

Time was when I'd sleep in until 9 or 10am on weekends...then again, this was when I'd also stay up until 2am, and our usual bedtime is around 10pm now, so I guess it makes sense...still, would be nice to be able to sleep in on the weekends more often.

I went to bed late (around 10:30) and made sure the bedroom doors were closed and the curtains pulled so it would be as dark as possible. I woke up a few times and made myself roll over and go back to sleep. Finally I figured I had lazed about long enough enjoying being home alone and guessed I should get up. Wondering how late it was, 10:00? 10:30?, I moved the glasses case I use to block the light of the clock at night and saw I had managed, through extreme effort of laziness to sleep until...

8:48am.

I guess I just have to expend my effort at laziness while awake.
