Should I stay with the kind-of-too-big swivel chair I've been using for, oh, a couple years now? I think I got it in 2006 or 2007...anyway, though it still holds up okay, it's a bit beaten and the back lining is worn out. The lifty bit (you know what I'm talking about--the bit where you pull a lever and it'll lift or lower the chair) seems to be a bit too sensitive as of late and I find myself sinking sometimes.

My next question is, should I get a smaller version of a swivel chair, or should I do something smaller like one of those director's chair-type things? I'm torn...I like using both kinds when writing.

SWIVEL CHAIR:
PROS--
--moveability. can watch TV, face work PC, etc
--comfort
CONS--
--bulky, takes up room (at least this one does)
--tends to make divots in the floor mat
--my posture is usally really bad on these things
--expensive
--wear out a lot quicker, no real replacement parts

DIRECTOR'S CHAIR:
PROS--
--comfort. I do like how these feel, even when I'm slouching.
--can fold them up if floor space is needed
--MUCH cheaper cost (though they cost more than I expected, but still...)
--cloth seat and back replacements easily available online
CONS--
--cloth seat and back sometimes tend to wear out quickly
--not much moveability

Either way...this one's going to need a replacement soon...
