Thursday, Part 2
Feb. 10th, 2005 02:06 pmWell, I just got through the major part of my bureau/closet/etc. clothes piles and managed to find that I HAVE WAY TOO MANY FREAKIN' TEE-SHIRTS. That, and too many sweatshirts, too many pairs of jeans that are no longer good or don't fit me, and a surprisingly low number of socks. I divvied up a lot of the clothes to be given to the local shelter, and tossed a lot of them too. And the really annoying thing is that it doesn't look as though I made that much of a dent in this place!!! Well, not entirely...I can now open up my bureau drawers easier...I can also open up my closet without having to move a few things in the process...
It really looks as though I'll be keeping a lot here until further notice. I'm thinking of heading over to WalMart today (the snow was a joke today, so I know my coworkers are gonnna make fun of me for being such a candyass) and picking up a few more storage tubs to throw things in. That way all I have to do is rearrange most of the stuff down cellar here. It looks as though I will be accepting the services of my sister Kat and my cousin Alan to help me drive stuff down, as much as I was trying to avoid that. Having two cars to bring stuff into an already crowded apartment is going to make me look bad! I don't want to encroach on the Boonton gang's space, y'know!
Well, either way, the storage thing sounds good. This will definitely make it all that much easier when Emm and I get our own place. That way I won't have to come back here and spend an entire weekend trying to figure out what to bring and what not to bring. It might make the old cellar a mite bit crowded, but I figure once I take all my cds and dvds and other stuff, that will open up a little more room for me to put stuff in its place. Then when we get our place I can empty the rest out. My only concern about the old cellar is how in hell I'm going to move my vinyl. I have probably about the same as Lynxie has in the living room, probably a little more, and I don't want that to take up too much room in our new place.
On that note, off to do a WalMart/Hannaford's run to get supplies. Hopefully all this will work out okay...I don't want to leave this house with all my shit lying around everywhere!!! :p
