Sadly, the Uncle Milo story isn't that great. I had used the name Milo in many games... and one or two of my friends called me Milo. When I got to Northeastern (before I transf to Emerson), I introduced myself to this one guy named Joseph, who wanted to be called "J". I told him my name is Jonathan, but that I could be called Jon, JOZ, or Milo. He introduced me to many others as Milo... and so I was Milo to the class (many didn't even know it was a nickname.) As I found myself horribly bored with Computer Science... I declared myself the "Uncle Figure"... where the father figure is the guy who's supposed to give you guidance and lay down the law. The Uncle figure is the guy who slips you a beer when you're only 12.
I became "Uncle Milo" for my fellow computer science pals... and on the internal network... and I would make them go to the movies... and they introduced me to others as Uncle Milo... and it just sort of stuck.... even now, so many, many years later... I am still Uncle Milo... full of New England stubborness and always disturbing the King's peace.
