Holy 90s, Batman!

Woke to the sound of "Time to Pretend" by MGMT (sorry, no embedding...you know how selfish some labels can get :p ) playing on Live 105. I sat there through the entire song thinking "I've heard this before..." I swear it sounds like something from the early 90s from, say, Gene Loves Jezebel or something...very funky music. I may have to look into this album...

Actually, I haven't gone to that site...still, very much reminded me of early 90s stuff I used to hear on WFNX when I was in college. And as I've been on a retro kick the last few days, this song is only adding to that. :p

I just did a quick search for the name of the song in quotes and 'sounds like' and that was the first hit that seemed to specifically mention what it sounded like. :)
