I know very little about some of the people on who read my journal. Some people I know relatively well. (Some I know too well. You know who you are.) I read your journals, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you read me and I thank you for your interest in my words.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something completely made up about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...they listen in rapture to the love-music of she-turnips." And then you can say "what on earth are you talking about?"

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then, we can have completely fictional knowledge about each other. If you would like, post this in your own journal and see what gems of fiction appear.

I'm originally from the Andromeda galaxy. It is not far from here. Both me and my twin were sent here to study the human race. When we arrived we were given bodies with various dysfunctions in order to learn the idea of human suffering since our race is primarily that of disembodied energy.

Alas, we came here and have learned a great deal about the art of suffering and in the process we have learned a great deal about the lack of compassion and grace of the human society and we've recommended to our leaders that this planet be marked for immediate eradication from the milky way galaxy. We do, however, find that we have come to like a number of you humans and we will recommend your abduction prior to the destruction of earth.
