The first time I read HOL I was impressed at how believable Zampano's sections were as a movie dissertation. And because of that I coulnd't help but read it as a filmable book. Awhile back I gave my copy to a friend and bought the "newly remastered" version. It's one of those rare books where I would not feel guilty or stupid at all to buy more than one copy.
Back to Haunted, I agree that there are a few filler songs, but the rest of it makes up for that. Also, I found it quite touching how on a completely different note it's also a very deeply personal ode to her dad...and the fact that she managed to have it both ways is mighty impressive.
