(This is looking south down Stockton...Coit Tower is on the left, the TransAmerica building (the triangular thingie) is popping up in the distance. The building behind the beige-pink apartment building to the far right is ours)
All was as normal at Pier 39...
(Yep, that's Alcatraz in the background...and those square piers behind the Alameda/Oakland Ferry boat are where the sea lions hang out)
When suddenly...
dun-dun-DUN....
It's....
BIG HONKIN' BOAT!!!
Yep, that's the Queen Mary 2 coming in to port. It's going to be docking overnight at Pier 27 (right here on the Embarcadero, literally right down the street from where all our local TV stations are, so they have a pretty good scoop)(in relation to us, on that map, look for the words "North Beach" on the corner of Bay and Stockton and we're right where the 'h' in Beach is. :p).
