I am not too old for this...I am not too old for this...
I'm actually not the oldest person working at my Day Job! There are a few people maybe ten or fifteen years older, some of them old-school lifers who started at other stores. We're just outnumbered by younger kids, heh. My point being, today's eight hour shift didn't kick my ass because I'm getting old, it was just a matter of being short-staffed for most of it (I was pretty much on my own from 6am to noon, with my fellow bookkeeper helping me every now and again) along with a constant flow of customers that didn't seem to want to stop coming.
Okay, so maybe my joints aren't as flexible as they once were and I probably should practice better lifting techniques (again), but I'm not going to say I'm too old for this just yet.
