Operation New Chair: Complete!

Operation New Chair is COMPLETE! I completed the frame of the chair and the armrests last night, and completed the covering and cushions, as well as the ottoman, this afternoon. Whew! I'm pretty sure I'll be vacuuming back here for the next few weeks getting rid of all the wood splinters during the build. The chair and ottoman are quite comfortable, though. I look forward to doing some writing here in the future!
I chose the 'chair and a half' because it's essentially the same size as the old love seat. I also chose the wide and flat armrests so I can place things down on them without things rolling away or falling behind the cushion.
Next Project: cleaning out that bookcase that's next to it. It's been a 'junk storage' area for years and I think it's time to get rid of a lot of what's there. I have a box of photos that can probably be thinned out and frames thrown away or recycled, and whatever's left I can put into the storage in the ottoman. I also have a lot of very old notebooks there that I think are either empty or partial that I can recycle as well. As to what's going to be moved there...? Good question...something to think about...
