Midweek Update Learns Things

Been keeping myself busy with various things...first off, I think I've come to the conclusion that I'm just not cut out for longhand writing anymore, at least when it comes to novels.  I've already known that I type much faster than I can write longhand, and in the end it was just too hard to try to adjust to the slower speed while paying attention to the pace of what I was writing.  Not too worried, though...lessons learned.  And at least I don't have dozens of empty notebooks lying around!  Heh.

I finally found software for ripping dvds called HandBrake...it's freeware and pretty easy to use, and I've been slowly going through our collection, ripping a few titles here and there.  Mostly anime and some of my favorite movies right now.  I'm doing it a little at a time, and plan on getting another external drive just for these titles. The final part of this plan would be to put them on my Plex server so we (and friends) can watch them wherever and whenever. Heh, it's like my Great CD Ripping Project all over again!
