Weekend Update Is Ready for Some Football!

YAY! It's pro football time again! I don't believe we got any of the previous weekend's preseason games, but we did get a great Raiders game the other day and the Niners game is on now. Woo!

Since we don't have cable, we miss the games that aren't on ABC or CBS (oddly our NBC affiliate has is the only station with an antenna not on Mount Sutro, so most of the city doesn't get their channel if they don't have cable). Still, that's not too bad, considering we'll still get a decent number of games on those two stations.

What is it about pro football, anyway? For years I didn't have the time or the patience to sit all the way through a full game as it didn't really interest me, but now that I'm older, I love watching it! Maybe it's that I have the patience now, or that I now equate it with my favorite time of the year (autumn) and the radio connections (college football broadcasts online).

Either way, I can't complain. I'm ready for it! :)
