Back on the high horse
Apr. 27th, 2013 09:47 pmI didn't expect the events in Boston to throw me off track as much as they did. They didn't affect me too personally--nobody I know was injured, but my eldest sister and brother in law had been standing near the first blast zone about an hour or so before it took place, and some of my friends live not exactly in the area, but were close enough to feel the effects of what was going on. Things like internet memes and fiddly projects fell by the wayside pretty quickly. And once it was all over and the surviving guy was caught, everything was back to normal, but I was mentally exhausted. Then there was the frustration of Record Store Day (see my last post--and apparently I wasn't alone in my irritation, from what I've been reading), a greatly annoying sleepless night (not sure what prompted that), and general *headdesk*ing caused by work. I basically called the last two weeks a wash.
Thankfully, I forced myself to get some serious revision/rewriting done for A Division of Souls and I'm happy to say I believe I'm three chapters from finishing this go-round. Once that's done, I'll bulk the story up into one big file for
ying_ko_4 to read. [Anyone else who would like to be a beta reader, please let me know!]
