Ooh, it's a holiday...such a holiday
Oct. 31st, 2011 09:54 amYes, I've just used the Bee Gees as my subject line. I am shameless. :)
Merry Samhain everyone! Hope everyone has a fun time today, or in New England where it's been postponed in places, whenever it comes around! I am not currently dressed up in a silly costume (unless you count my business casual wear, of course), nor am I (yet) chowing down on a stupid amount of sugar, chocolate, and chocolate-coated sugar. Give it time, though.
Strangely enough I was never one to dress up on Halloween...sure, I loved the trick-or-treating and eating too much candy, and as I got older, walking around the neighborhood with friends, goading each other to walk past that dark, shadowy patch at the end of our street, but I never really got into the costume thing, for some reason. Not sure why...maybe it was partly that the masks back then were that rubber/plastic with very little ventilation, maybe it was the embarrassment of being the youngest kid in the 'hood and constantly hearing "aawww so cute" from all the grown-ups. I'm suspecting the latter.
I am, of course, planning on raiding the candy selection at one of our neighborhood stores once it goes on sale!
Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween! :)
