Going off the radar temporarily
Sep. 19th, 2011 07:05 pmGoing to unplug for a bit.
The reasons are few and varied, but nothing bad.
I've pretty much burned myself out on politics, for one. Part of the reason I killed off my political LJ a short while ago. My interest in other sites seems to be waning as well.
The internets aren't biting into my writing time as much as previous, as I'm doing pretty good on that front. And I'm not spending stupid amounts of time playing around with my music anymore, even if I am continuing to download new music and rip new cds. Thanks to my schedule, I've been doing a lot better on managing my time.
I've been wanting to get outside more, continue to get in shape. My walks with
emmalyon have definitely been helping.
I've been wanting to record some music, especially now that we have multiple guitars in the house as well as decent recording software and hardware.
I've been wanting to get better at photography.
I've been wanting to draw.
I've been wanting to join a local (or web-based) writers' group.
You'll still see the poems on my Dreamwidth blog, and the pictures at my Tumblr blog, and perhaps even a writing-related post at my other LJ, perhaps even more so...I may finally retire this one and use that one as the primary. I've been contemplating building a professional web presence for my writing on WordPress or a similar site.
The internets should still be there when I return, whenever that may be.
I believe most of you have my contact info if you want to get a hold of me; I'll still be checking my email on a daily basis. I'll still pop onto LJ and elsewhere to keep in touch...but just not as often.
Catch you on the flipside. Y'all play nice.
