48: At a Chapter's Close
Sep. 11th, 2011 07:10 pmI turned the page after the last paragraph,
Breath taken away by the excitement that had gone on.
The scene had ended in a brittle denouement,
The character tired and worn, but better for it.
At the chapter's close, I closed the book,
Not quite looking forward to the next scene yet,
But glad enough that all was back to normal again.
