The younger ones, the ones who call you 'old man'
They've got the energy but you, you've got the past
You've got the upper hand through experience
And you can still beat them at their own games

You're behind them on that backroad
The one in the rear seat is shaking his head
Up and down in time to the beat of the satellite radio
You were that kid once, listening to
The sounds of rebellion and the sounds of chaos
Don't you forget you were that kid once
Riding up this backroad to nowhere
Wasting time, just in time for tomorrow to come
