[Weekend] All sorts of fun stuff!
Nov. 13th, 2010 09:17 amSo today is the 25th Anniversary of Amoeba Records opening, so we're taking our rare jaunt over to the Haight so I can spend a lot more money than I really should buy some new and neat stuff.
emmalyon will most likely be hanging out elsewhere while I do my shopping, but we'll meet up and have lunch at Martin Mack's Irish Pub. Sad to say that those are the few places we ever go in that neighborhood (trust me, the allure of the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood went away a loooooooooong time ago, unless you're into the whole hippie/organic scene, which we're not), but the good thing is that we can walk home via Golden Gate Park and it's pretty much all downhill so we don't have any climbing to do.
I'll be doing more writing and whatnot later today...I'm at the scene in Love Like Blood where the lead character has a life-changing experience (so to speak), so I'm sure I'll be hemming and hawing over this one for a good couple of days to make sure it works. I've got a couple of other smaller writing-based things to do as well, but they shouldn't take long.
And tomorrow? FOOTBALL! :D Though I'm sure we may pop out in the afternoon for a coffee and/or lunch break. And tomorrow night Emm will be packing for her mini-business trip back east for a few days (we'll be waking up at mumble:30 Monday morning so I can drive her to the airport). She'll be coming back Wednesday evening, just in time for us to go on a mini-vacation up to Sonoma! Just like we did last time, we'll head up to Santa Rosa and hang up there for a little bit, then head down to Sonoma for the evening and stay overnight at one of the bed and breakfasts. Should be fun!
Hope everyone has a spiffy weekend!
