12: Little Dogs in Raincoats (By Request)
Nov. 7th, 2010 05:25 pmIt's another rainy day out here in the Richmond,
And they're out for their afternoon walk, right on time.
Bruiser pads as fast as he can, paws splashing on the sidewalk,
King of the Neighborhood in his hooded yellow rain coat.
Princess is a few paces behind, elegant in her white and red
Polka-dotted slicker, panting away, trying to keep up.
They don't mind the wet, it's part of their nature to get wet.
They thank The Owner with a lick and a grin,
And maybe even a satisfied hwurf,
As they sniff and sense their way past marks left behind,
Because they remain warm and dry on a rainy day like today,
Knowing full well they'll be back at home on their blankets soon.
[NOTE: This one was "by request" as I'd asked Amanda for a completely random subject, and that's what she came up with.]
