Dogs Is Barkin'
May. 2nd, 2010 03:36 pmMore exercise in our latest weekend event of going for long walks in the area!
I think we walked roughly three and a half to four miles this morning/afternoon. We walked up to the 15th Avenue gate of the Presidio again, this time taking one of the paths up and over the Park Presidio tunnel and past the golf course, then over to the southeastern corner of the park. Many hills and paths tread, and many pix taken, some of which I'll upload at a later date. Once we left the park and walked back down Arguello to Clement, we were pretty hungry so we stopped at the B Star Bistro for a really tasty lunch. By the time we got to 6th Street to head back home, we'd decided we'd had enough walking for the day so we skipped over to Geary and took the 38 bus the rest of the way back. With a pitstop for ice coffee, of course. ;)
Almost forgot--on the way back, while walking up Pacific Ave near Justin Kahn Playground, we saw a big elementary school party going on, complete with cookout, singalongs, a blow-up castle thing, and a May Pole! Lots of kids having tons of fun, and it was a really good day for it as well.
Now I'm still on my feet, doing the laundry, but as soon as that's done I'll kick off the shoes and do some major relaxing. Been quite an afternoon, and it's only 3:30!
