Fail!/Win!
Jul. 22nd, 2009 12:43 pm1. After parking the car back in our garage on Sunday after coming back from the movies, it seems I'd forgotten to turn off the lights to the car. I'd turned them on at the Japantown parking garage, and forgot they were on. FAIL!
2. Go into the garage on Tuesday after work, as it dawns on me that I forgot to put on the plastic slip cover to keep birds from crapping on it. Realize at this point that car battery is dead, since unlocking car with remote isn't working. Massive aggravation. FAIL!
3. Look online and in phone book for listings of local auto shops that might come by to recharge us, including one down the street. Most reply with "I'm the only mechanic here, can't do it...do you have AAA?", which we do not. FAIL!
4. On a whim, call the Wharf 76 gas station down the street--the one next door to the book store, about three or so blocks from us--and if they can find the time, they can certainly stop by and give us a jump sometime today. WIN!! :D
