On the one hand...

For a decent price, I have used it in the past to look up the most up-to-date info about publishers and agents. It also has a nifty little dashboard of your latest works so you can keep tabs on it.

On the other...

I rarely used it, instead using my latest edition of WM, and figuring I can just contact the publisher/agent if there have been any changes. And I don't really need that dashboard, when I have my many LJ posts to keep me in line. ;)

And the deciding vote...

My year's subscription to the site expired at the end of December, and after trying three times unsuccessfully to renew (and the site not acknowledging my User ID--not to mention it refused to log me out, even when I hit the "logout" link repeatedly), I've pretty much given up on it. It was a cool reference tool, but I don't really need it.

Any thoughts from those who have also used it?

It occured to me that since I signed up with Twitter, I post a LOT less here. Which I suppose is a good thing, considering the amount of rambling I've done here over the past few years. :p

----------

Book taken out of the library: Lauren M.E. Goodlad & Michael Bibby, Goth: Undead Subculture.

I figure this is either going to be a fun read or a dull one, considering it's set up like a collection of academic texts.

----------

Me? Take out cds from the library while I'm there? I don't know what you're talking about.

(rip rip rip)

----------

Additional New Year's Resolution: No more posts about work unless they're positive. More to the point--be a little more positive about work. Stop reacting with frustration as much as I have, and find a better way to deal with those situations.

----------

I've had My Chemical Romance's "Welcome to the Black Parade" stuck in my head the last few days due to it being on Live 105's Top 105 of '08...and now I've heard it twice on the radio since then. Not the biggest MCR fan, but I really like this one for some reason.

----------

Sort of related: I always feel weird linking YouTube links to some people, simply for the idiotic troll comments that inevitably pop up whenever internet commenting is available.

Sort of sort of related: It's kind of sad when I read articles on SFGate and I can already tell what some of the troll comments are going to be. Most of them are variants of "This is so stupid, the city pays for it, our taxes go up."

----------

It's 7pm and we're making coffee. This may or may not be a good thing.

----------

Day two of the new year and I haven't typed/written "2008" accidentally yet! :)

----------

More later...
