Hey all! Hope you all slept well! As for us? We got woken up about 12:30 last night by--yep, you guessed it--a fire alarm going off. Not our building, mind you, but next door. Nothing major, but I could smell just the tiniest bit of smoke when I popped my head outside...I think someone had a fire going in their fireplace and forgot to open up the flue. D'OH!

And of course we ended up waking up at around 6:30. Apparently Emm and I are at that point where we can no longer ever sleep in... :p

On the plus side, we took care of pretty much all our errands yesterday, so the only thing needing doing is laundry. Which means not much to do except write and watch football! :)

Speaking of writing, I just finished the outline for Chapter 18 of CFMWH last night, and it went surprisingly quick. It's at the point where I have to start wrapping things up and bring it to the climax (and means I have six more chapters and an epilogue to go--w000t!), so I have some heavyduty planning to do for it.

Also, I need to start planning for the Trilogy website as well...I want to do some 'prequel' stuff as well as play around with layout, so I'll need to get Emm to give me access to the website setup. Hopefully I'll have a sneak-peek up by mid-December if I have the time for it...

Other than that...going to be a relaxing Sunday! So what's up with the rest of you? :)

As [livejournal.com profile] alexbot3000 (aka Alex Robinson) just mentioned over at his LJ, this week marks the 40th anniversary of the Beatles' self-titled album, also unofficially known as The White Album.

I have to agree with him that this is also my second-favorite Beatles album (the first being Revolver, of course), and while it isn't for everyone, I have a special affinity for it. I love the fact that it starts off as a poppy album typical of the band, with a continuation of post-Sgt. Pepper experimentation, but the further you go with it, the darker and weirder it gets, culminating with "Revolution 9" (with "Good Night" tacked on as a sort of epilogue). And of course as [livejournal.com profile] alexbot3000 mentioned and has been repeated elsewhere, George Martin always thought it should have been a single album, which begs the meme of what songs people think should be on the single-album version. I've done this a few times in my head, trying to come up with an interesting lineup of songs.

So! Without further ado, I give you The Beatles White Album Meme. Have at it--tell me what you think should be the lineup! I'm going to be generous here and say that singles, unreleased songs, and songs demoed at that point in time are fair game, and I've even made the list:
