Too Darn Hot
Jul. 9th, 2008 05:04 pmYeah, I know, I don't have anything on y'all back east, but I'm gonna complain about the heat anyway. And we have the added bonus of smog and smoke from random forest fires around the state, which of course makes the air quality around here just lovely. ;)
I do need to do a few quick errands (none as detailed as last week--I just need to run to the store), but I'm contemplating moving one of them to the weekend when A)I have more time to do it (it requires monitoring) and B)I'm not stuck in a very hot room doing it (because of said monitoring). emmalyon's that was sopping wet but couldn't be put in the dryer is now merely damp. Now that's heat drying! :p
The downside of all of this is that I feel sluggish now, I have a headache (and the homeys driving by in their hoopties cranking up bad rap ain't helping), and for the life of me I can't remember if Emm wanted me to set anything up for dinner or not. This is more proof tnat I don't function well in heat--I start getting a bit loopy.
The good thing is that it's supposed to cool off this weekend...we haven't really made any plans other than perhaps going out for lunch and perhaps stopping at the library. Yes, we're nerdy enough to have library dates. :p Although Hellboy II is opening this weekend, so there's a chance we might go for that...
