Extended Weekend

So I have to admit that I didn't get much done this weekend, but I kind of did that on purpose. Saturday we spent the entire day at BayCon going to random panels and buying stuff. It was fun for a one-day con stopover! I kind of feel this one was on par with, say, Arisia, since it was definitely fan-oriented (and contained an overindulgence of pirate-themed things), but the panels themselves were fun. The dealer's room left a bit to be desired, as it was rather small, had about 80% jewelry/cosplay/pirate stuff and about 20% books, but we did find a few neat books to buy.

Yesterday was just an exercise in being lazy. After doing some heavy shopping at the local Safeway, we pretty much hung out at the apartment all day doing not much at all. We did do a bit of apartment cleaning, but after that we basically just goofed off listening to the Live 105 countdown, me playing on the computer (no writing) and Emm knitting and reading.

On tap today, we plan on getting some Target shopping done...we've got some random stuff to look for, both clothes and otherwise. That, and I'm figuring we should buy some gas for the car before it goes even higher (for those playing, the current lower price we've seen is about $4.29). And other than that, I probably should work on some of my writing projects today. Not sure what, but I'll think of something. One of the things I'm thinking of doing, however, is to move ADoS onto my Dana and start editing it using that.

Other than that, we'll most likely be watching movies all day, probably a good portion of them war movies on AMC or something...and maybe I'll even post on die_joncswerk as well. Haven't done that in awhile.

Stuff Done Today:

--Bought new work shoes that (hopefully) are better than the ones I've been wearing*
--Did some schedule-planning for my writing to get more done
--Managed to get online using my work laptop--which means that I can actually work from home when the time comes!**
--Am currently working on Revision 2 of LLB and am currently on page 4. Lookin' good!
--Managed to walk through Target without wanting to bodycheck someone
--Ate some pretty tasty food (and a hot dog to add to the tally on dogs_of_summer), all prepared by emmalyon

* Unfortunately emmalyon wasn't so lucky in the clothes-shopping department...we were both getting frustrated that neither of us were finding anything decent at the mall...we're thinking in a few weeks we might head down to Gilroy again and check out the outlet stores again...
** You have NO IDEA how frustrating trying to do this has been over the last month.
*** But completely forgot to post on flyingbohemians, dammit...will do that in the next day or so. Coming up: "Night", "Epitaph", and some very silly outtakes!
