Anne Rice Syndrome, perhaps?
Jul. 29th, 2007 08:18 amOkay, this has to be one of the weirdest spams I've gotten...and yes, I did in fact give The Road one star, but that was because it was a damn annoying book that was trying and totally failing to be Steinbeck, not because of so-called "homegrown terrorism".
Whatever that means...
I know you gave only ONE STAR to Oprah's Book Club "The Road" but, in the age of home-grown terrorism, I would like to make you aware of what it is probably already happening in American Operating Rooms:
(apparent link to American Authors Association and his book here)
This is not another "A MILLION LITTLE PIECES." I sincerely hope my novel is fiction.
(apparent link to Amazon page for his book here)
BEST,

Joseph J. Neuschatz M.D.
Author of "terrO.R."
Okay, first things first, this particular book (I looked it up myself on Amazon, not clicking on the links) came out a year ago, so it's a bit late for self promotion. Second of all, how the hell did he get my email and why was this sent to me?!?? Not sure if it's because I trashed "The Road" which, if you think about it, has nothing to do with this guy's book.
Oh, and apparently, a lot of reviewers on Amazon are saying it's a good book, but desperately needs to be edited. I'm guessing that someone's novel is a little too dear to their heart and is going a little too far in defending it...
One other thing--the email address listed on this spam? Actualy Yahoo address, listed as "dr.noshots". Ooookay...
