Thanksgiving
Nov. 23rd, 2006 10:40 amThings:
--San Francisco. Never a dull moment here...and I'm not romanticizing this place, either. It's just so diverse and interesting that not a day goes by where I'm not either surprised, amused, or gobsmacked. And you have the BEST. WEATHER. EVAR.
--Music. I'm so glad that I still have access to good music. College radio as I knew it may have gone the way of the buffalo quite some time ago, but there's still some great stations (online and terrestrial) out there. It's still grist for my writing mill, after all this time.
--My computer. You're my waste of time, my source of all things shiny and distracting, my tool of procrastination, my link to friends and the outside world, my place of creativity, and perhaps soon, my source of income. Thanks for not crapping out yet!
People:
--Family. We may have been separated by miles and mountains, but we're still connected and I appreciate that. Thanks for all your support, patience, and guidance throughout the years!
--Friends, both near and far. Thanks for putting up with me all these years, and thanks for keeping in touch! And thanks to all the people I've met here in the city that are proof that this is indeed the Friendliest City in the World. You all know who your are, give yourself a hand!
--And most importantly, my wife. You're my friend, my inspiration, my asskicker when I need it, and so much more. Thank you, sweetie!!! *BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG HUG!*
Happy Thanksgiving!!
