Another odd sighting in SF...
May. 19th, 2006 07:36 am(forgot to post this last night)
emmalyon and I decided to meet at the Ferry Building last night to check out the Thursday eve Farmer's Market. Seems as though for now it's a smaller version inside the building itself, but it was enough that Emm was constantly drooling over the abundance of strawberries seen...
So we're crossing the street to pick up the F line home, when a gaggle of what we think were extras in a photo shoot, bodypainted in orange, blue and green (wearing their appropriately-colored clothes, natch), crossing the opposite way and heading towards the Ferry Building. A very interesting sight to behold. A few of them were chanting some slogans which I couldn't quite hear (I'm thinking they may have been creative protesters, I don't know).
But that wasn't the best bit. The best part?
An older man in front of us, wearing a white pith helmet with pigeon feathers sticking out of the sides (no lie!), looking at the interestingly-hued crowd, frowning and going "What the...??"
This city never ceases to amuse me on a daily basis...
