Ah, weekends...
Mar. 5th, 2006 12:31 pmOkay, I admit this has been an especially relaxing--and productive--weekend, even though I didn't get any writing done. That's not really bothering me, though, as I'd already planned this weekend to be The Errand-Doing Weekend. Stuff that I'd been putting off, such as switching all my extra things from a plastic storage tub to a great IKEA storage box (I love these!), getting all the laundry done (including the old bedding that Lynxie had shipped to us), and making a dent in the piles of shredding I need to do. Oh, and also going down to the Farmer's Market at the Ferry Building with Emm and getting some reeeeally tasty Pink Lady apples! :)
But I feel well-rested after a particularly tiring week, things are clean, stuff's put away, and I feel like I've gotten a lot done. Added to the fact that I've been doing pretty good with writing lately: although I didn't write Friday or yesterday, I wrote every day for almost two weeks, which makes me happy.
I'm also thinking that I might plan on going into work a bit earlier than I usually do so I can start in on the writing-in-the-cafeteria habit again. There aren't too many people there to distract me, and I get there early to begin with, so with a few extra minutes added on, I can get more stuff done. Heh--it's almost like writing The Phoenix Effect all over again! :p

In the meantime, I don't really have much else planned for today except for running to Safeway to get some stuff we forgot yesterday, perhaps some writing this evening, and maybe watching the Jet Li Netflix movie we've had sitting here for the last few weeks.
Other than that, it's been a rather quiet, relaxing weekend. It was a sunny but windy day yesterday, and it's raining at the moment (SF's version of winter includes many many days of nonstop rain and/or wind), but all in all a nice, relaxing weekend.
