So.
Yesterday I went through all the books and videos that are in the garage and pulled the ones I wanted, then I went through all the stuff that's in the cellar--specifically the writing stuff that was in the filing cabinet next to my desk. This was interesting in that with all the spiral-bound notebooks I had, a very large number of them had on average about ten to twenty pages full, the rest were blank. So I ripped out the pages I wanted to save and put those notebooks aside--and filled up the top drawer with them! :p
Today was very dusty and dirty as I went through the old cellar and pulled what I could. Given that I won't have the space to bring the stuff down to NJ (or bring it to SF, for that matter), I ended up throwing about 5 bags of trash out, 2 bags for the Salvation Army, and everything that's on/under the fold-up table in there can be sold off. My stuff is now all in one place, standing in front of my vinyl collection. Unfortunately I don't have the time to go through that, so I'll have to save that for another time. When, I'm not sure, though...
So yeah. I'm finally done. Three plastic bins of stuff (to be thinned down even more in the future), three milk crates of writing notebooks, two crates of books and videos, and my stereo. I do believe that I'll be able to fit everything into the car with room to spare. I'm glad Emm's car is roomy!
As for the drive back, I'm kinda sorta tempted to drive back late tonight instead of tomorrow, so I can avoid the snow that all the weather people are threatening. It would only be an inch or so, but I really don't like driving in the snow, and I'm just a tad more nervous about it since It's Emm's car and not mine!
On that note...my sis and bro-in-law are here to see me so I should be sociable now! :p
