1. Total number of films I own on DVD/video:

Umm...let me get back to you on that. I don't have a concrete number and I left my videos up in MA. So I'd say I have about fifty dvds (counting box sets as one item), probably a few more...tapes? At least a hundred. Stuff I taped off the tv and/or copied from other places? At least a hundred more.

2. The last film I bought:

The House of Flying Daggers. The Drum dance and the fight in the bamboo forest are worth the price alone. One of the best martial arts movies I've ever seen. And a cool soundtrack, too!

3. The last film I watched:

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which I was pleasantly surprised with. I was quite happy to see them fit so much of the book in the movie and still be completely different from it.

4. Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me:

Yellow Submarine because I grew up with that movie (I believe I still know 90% of the lines) and it introduced me to the wonder that is the Beatles.
The Quiet Man because it's a surprisingly good John Wayne movie that is wonderfully written, superbly acted, and beautifully shot.
Citizen Kane, which I watch pretty much to remind myself just how far I should push myself when I'm writing.
The Graduate and Catch-22, both because they're Mike Nichols films that I simply love for their writing, acting and cinematography. Movies that I watch simply because they're cooool.
