Friday.

One of those types of days where you're just drifting around waiting for the work day to finish. For us at YC, Fridays are usually smooth sailing because most of it's parcel (read: live-loaded into the trucks) (read: as opposed to freight, which is us putting boxes on pallets) (read: I'll shut up now), and the freight that does come down is usually wholesale (read: non-YC stores) (read: SHUT UP!). By eleven we're floating around with brooms, looking for things to do until the Ship Monday stuff starts slamming down at quarter to two, fifteen minutes before we leave.

Anyhoo. Since I've been on vacation all week, I've been doing little except going online, going for a drive, and working on my music project. I haven't even done any writing, and what I have done has been just enough to finish off chapter 1 of the vampire story. I haven't picked up Book 3 in awhile, but that's another post altogether.

It's weird, sitting here writing this now, because in a few days I'll be heading back to work. What's weird about it is that now that Worldcon is done and I'm sufficiently poor for now, I plan on doing very little money spending. Most of the money that isn't used on bills is going to be put into my savings, because I'm going to be saving up like a bastard. No comics (in a weird way it's good Showcase closed), and very little music. Why? Because I've just about gotten sick of planning to move out and never quite doing it. I have my sights set on the Valley somewhere, but I haven't decided exactly where yet. Anywhere between Amherst and West Springfield sounds good to me.

Doing much better now, thank you. Not in an annoyed-feeling-sorry-for-myself mood anymore. Thanks for the poing, Emma!
