Reel Around the Fountain
Apr. 17th, 2004 12:40 pmHey all, long time no write.
For those of you who were wondering, The Journals of Gabriel Davies is an ongoing side-project to my current side-project of writing a comedy about vampires. The Crucibles, while they're not the main characters of this story (Gabriel is one, however), they do play an important part. I'm going to be writing a few of these journal entries now and again, just for practice to get Gabe's writing juices flowing.
------
Anyway.
Strange things going on lately, and all at once. In the last few weeks my family's been through a lot, with my grandmother making an unplanned visit, first to a hospital then to rehab for hip problems, and now they're thinking she might end up staying at that rehab place which is basically a nursing home...lots of tense energies floating around this house...
Added to the fact that life is beginning to catch up with me. Close friends are married/having kids/already have kids, and it's beginning to get to me. Not in a bad way, mind you--it's more like I'm finally taking life a little more seriously now. That's not to say that I won't say puns worthy of a 'shutupjon'...more like I'm not buying as many cds, I'm restarting my serious look at apartment hunting, and I'm even thinking of looking for a better job. Gads, 33 and I'm becoming a responsible adult. What the hell happened to me?!?? :)
*sigh* I feel old. ;p
