An Open Letter to Clear Channel

Dear Clear Channel:

I tried. I really tried. I tried to let go of the annoyance I felt (and still feel) whenever I listen to the radio at work. I tried to enjoy the easy-going, relaxing music that your stations play. I even let myself be swayed by the fact that these songs really aren't that bad. But for the Love of God:

STOP PLAYING "PIANO MAN" EVERY FUCKING DAY!!!!

The funniest comment I ever heard about an overplayed song was when WAAF played Metallica's Hero of the Day way too much. A listener sent them an e-mail that they read on the air. It basically went along the lines of:

Dear WAAF,

Could you please play Hero of the Day one more time? My parrot has almost got the whole thing memorized.

That's not the worst part. Clear Channel has been embedding "Vote Bush" under every song it plays.
