I love the HFL site a little too much, I think...

The two Wonder Stuff cds were found in the discount bin that I almost didn't see--at a dollar each, I should add--and I quite enjoy those two albums. Brings back memories... :)

We listened to the Morningwood cd and both Emm and I consider it good rawkin' fun. We're still not sure what to make of the song "Babysitter" though, but I will say I liked the music for it...

New Snow Patrol is EXCELLENT, and this time out Gary Lightbody has realized that singing an octave higher makes his words so much more audible. Not quite used to the change, but it's an excellent album nonetheless...

And the Split Enz cd...? Been looking for that FOREVER. Was quite surprised to find it there, so I picked it up. This one has Dirty Creature, Six Months in a Leaky Boat, and Never Ceases to Amaze Me on it. Great album. I had it on tape for the longest time until I pretty much played it into the ground...

Will have to go back to that store...quite a lot of good stuff. Oh, and they have a VHS copy of Lonely Is an Eyesore, a great 4AD compilation that I definitely need to get, not to mention buying it on cd as well. The VHS version is the video comp of the same songs and while not exactly filmic genius, it's fun to watch. A lot of it was shot on 16mm, so there's definitely a lot of arty graininess to it that I like. That, and it was a HUGE inspiration when it came time for me to film stuff for college.
