I got the Audioslave one used recently for like $3, which was just about what it was worth. So I think your plan has merit. I am jealous of you for having a copy of Head though. I definitely need to pick that up, I remember seeing it on MTV during the Monkees revival of the late-80s and the surrealist glee it brought my precociously freaky little heart!
