10 Things I've Done That You Probably Haven't

There's a famous person theme here, because I'm generally a boring guy who never gets into trouble or is that adventurous... :p

10. Had a fifteen minute conversation about bass playing and recording with Dougie, the bassist for Travis.
9. Explained to comedian Steven Wright what the difference between a milkshake and a frappe is (it's a New England thing...)
8. Saved Pat Morita (aka "Mr. Miyagi") from certain paper towel doom
7. Gotten Budgie, the drummer from Siouxie and the Banshees (and now The Creatures) to burst out laughing because I made fun of The Cure's Robert Smith
6. Sat next to Bruce Campbell for a good hour before actually recognizing him
5. Saw Radiohead at their very first show in the United States
4. Waved hello to NBA player Paul Pearce as he walked by my department at Yankee Candle
3. Bumped into Nuno Bettencourt from Extreme when he used to frequent the record store I used to work at
2. Bought the first Ben Folds Five cd off of Ben Folds himself

And probably the most important famous-person thing that's ever happened to me:
1. Met, talked, and gave customer service to ex-Beatle George Harrison.

"customer service" eh? I'm sure this is only a product of your fevered imagination to score points with someone you "know" who's favorite Beatle he is.

Don't forget bumping into Bill Cosby at a mall! (Or were you too young to remember?)

Okay, I'd like to know the difference between a milkshake and a frappe. When I lived in Boston and the Cape, we would have frappes. When I would visit grandparents in Wyoming, we would have malts (which has an extra ingredient). Everywhere else, they all call 'em milkshakes...oops, except for Noho, where they called them Mudslides. (Now, when I mention that, everyone thinks I'm talking about an alcoholic beverage...)

Dear God! Never tell Kirsten that you met a beatle. She'll leave her husband and follow you around the country for sure. LOL. (If you have no idea whom I'm talking about, ask [livejournal.com profile] emmalyon; she's a friend of ours from college.
