To Chateau du emmalyon:

220 miles = 1/2 tank of gas = 3.5 hours (with good traffic)

Extra Notes:
--On the drive back, the Merritt/Hutchinson exit signs do not say "Rt 15" on them. Good idea to slow down beforehand.
--Driving thru NY on the way to and from is great...when the traffic's not backed up for miles and it's not raining.
--The Tappan Zee Bridge is pretty darn impressive.
--Get a spine before attempting to drive in NYC.
--You will not get lost in NJ. It's a geographical impossibility.
--More than one pit stop is a very good idea.
--The more southern I-91/Rt 15 interchange is so much quicker and easier, but the more northern ones have more places to stop for grub.
--Remember to bring R. Strauss' Also Sprach Zarathustra next time we drive into NYC, for a soundtrack as we watch Giants Stadium rise out of the marshes...

It was very nice meeting you (even though our visits didn't overlap too much, it was still good to put a person to the name, if nothing else. Which is not to say that there was nothing else, but the theory holds, I think. Okay, enough paranthetical babbling...)! I'm glad the madness wasn't too, well, mad. So many cohabitating bodies! But it worked out well, I think. :) Might I add you to my lj friends? It makes for easier stalking, you see. Heh.
