I don't know why, but I just got up on the wrong side of the bed today. Everything is just sort of annoying the hell out of me today. Maybe it's that I'm back home (here at the old house...), thrown back into my mundane existence of poverty and feeling stuck in the same gears like I have been for ages. Guess my patience in certain degrees is finally wearing thin...of course, it's added to the fact that I ran myself ragged this past weekend and I'm now battling off a cold. Grr.

This sucks. Especially after all the excitement I had at Worldcon.

Kinda fitting that I'm listening to the Cure on a rainy day... :p

Mrow?

Getting back from a trip can be a bummer...I myself returned to discover that 1 person in my dept had quit, 2 who report to me are ill (1 with a SCRATCHED EYEBALL--ack!!), my boss wants me to speed up the training program even more than I have been(which means that my next group dives in next week), and I have to interview someone at 5, when I would ideally be about halfway home.
But you know what? None of this is bothering me. I'm downright chipper, in fact. Maybe I'm still on a Worldcon high or something....whatever, I'm going with it! Woohoo!
*attempts to send some surplus poinginess to jonc via mental telegraph*

I would rather not go...back to the old house...

I know that crash after a fun weekend when you smack down hard on reality again. Know it well. Coming back from Vegas to face life with job and child and cats and...so on and so on. ugh.

And I totally forgot to give you a cd with the TFB stuff on it. Crud.
