When you flew into SF, you said, "I'm home." was that because you felt at-home in San Francisco, or was it because it was sinking in, slowly but surely???
A bit of both, really. I already feel very comfortable in this city...like I told Emm, I like the "mood" of it. I notice a lot of cities give off certain moods (Boston's laid back, perhaps too much so, and NYC is very high-strung), but SF is very relaxed and enjoyable. I don't know if that makes any sense... ;)
But yeah, it's sinking in. Last night AND this morning, I looked out our window and thought "what the hell am I doing here...?" albeit with an amused grin on my face. Let's just say that with everything that's happened to me this year, it hasn't quite completely sunk in yet...I'm still getting used to the fact that I'm married now... :p
I know what you mean, though. When we visited Glasgow, I totally felt a connection with the place. Here, it's more "um...okay. I'm going to be living here within a few weeks. Umm...I think I should probably get used to that idea..." *headscratch*
