[Writing] Should I NaNo?

*sigh* Every time I try to join in the fun, something comes up in life that takes up my time or takes precedence in terms of importance. I've wanted to do it ever since hearing about it some years ago, but never quite found the time.

This year my personal schedule's pretty open. The only thing I have on the writing schedule is revision work, which takes up most of my evenings. I do my poetry on Sundays. I write the Walk In Silence notes and outtakes at work during breaks. I don't really have any completely *new* ideas that I'd like to try out, though there are some old ones I could certainly revive. I may have time to do NaNo this month, but I'm not entirely sure. I can do a thousand words a day if I put my mind to it, that's not the problem...it's the decision as to whether or not I should do it.

More on this by the end of the day.

You could be a rebel like a few of us and use the word counts for an existing work. Really, think of it this way - even if you don't make 50k, any words you DO get are more than you had if you didn't, right?

Heh, true...and one of the crazy ideas I'd had was a rewrite-from-scratch of A Division of Souls (I'd already had the idea, but queenoftheskies happened to post about it yesterday, so I'm taking that as a sign... ;) ). We'll see what I come up with by this afternoon!

Heh! I'll give it a try...but don't be surprised if you see a "Day 5...had to stop NaNo due to catastrophic failure of PC due to spilling Mountain Dew all over it." :p

Can't you just clean that up with marshmallow fluff?
