Meanwhile, today on Wikipedia's front page, we find some good news:

If you are reading this, the latest record-breaking experiments at CERN's Large Hadron Collider have not yet caused the end of the world as we know it.

That's because it will take time for the microscopic black hole to swallow enough matter to be detectable, and then the rate of its consumption of earth will start increasing more rapidly.
