One day too many?

Not that I'm complaining of having the day off, but today was one of those days you wished just got over with because, on the whole, it just seemed sort of 'meh'. Emm feels like she's coming down with something, I've felt restless all day and still managed to get nothing done somehow, despite my efforts to get something done, and both of us felt a bit on the cranky side.

On the plus side, I did get a new coat this weekend (a nice leather one for eighty bucks, about $160 less than what it was originally going for (thank you, Mervyn's!)), Emm got her new camera (for a sweet price), and I am still absolutely stuffed from the wonderful chicken dinner Emm made tonight. :)

I didn't get enough writing done that I wanted to, but that was because I find that the lighting on my Dana is a bit funky. I have to either have the backlighting on or have a lamp shining directly down on it in order to read it easily. I did manage to get a good few pages worth of IWN notes into it, more than I thought I had, but not all of them. Also, I didn't get started on the Love Like Blood rewrite that I really should start, but I figure I'll start in on that this week. As long as I'm doing something about the IWN on the side, my main focus right now should be LLB, because that one is further along and NEEDS to be sent out soon.

Oh, and file this in the Most Unexpected Email file: due to the fact that I'm listed on Classmates.com, I was emailed by none other than my old ex, T. (the high school sweetheart I posted about in the old Radio Radio posts back in 2005)(good lord has it been that long already?), and we caught up a bit. She's married and has a kid and still lives in MA, and she's doing well. She says hi to [livejournal.com profile] head58!

Okay, on that note, going to get into bed early and continue with reading the Harry Potter books. Don't quite know how I got obsessed with that series, but I do know Emm was definitely an enabler. ;)

Yay for shopping deals! Even though your day was so-so, at least it was a day off! Egads! I've been infected by the exclamation point disease again! Horrors!

That's okay...I'm still suffering from emoticonitis... :p ;)

HP is such an awesome series. I've already put in my pre-order for the final book. Oooooh I'm so excited about that!!

Where is my copy of LLB mister? I want to read it. Also, you need to add this journal as a friend to your writing one. Please? :)

I should be mailing it off this week! :)

The Harry Potter books are good, though the initial ones are better than the later ones.

Just a thought on the crankiness. If you guys have been having the unseasonably cold weather, and are keeping the heat at the minimum, it could be a factor. Sometimes a little splurge and getting the place all toasty does wonders. :)

Yeah, that might be it. We're just waiting for it to get a little warmer. As far as I know, it should be getting warmer later on this week. :)
