...I'm reading Cheers & Jeers, and they're mentioning how on this day back in 1868, Christopher Latham Sholes received his patent for the "type-writer".

The amusing thing? It goes to this link about the invention. The typewriter in the picture?

My dad has--and still uses--a typewriter JUST LIKE THAT MODEL. :)

In fact, I believe my first forays into writing were on that typewriter as well...

It is summer, right? Last I checked, it was.

And I understand that on the peninsula, it's usually cooler than, say, the East Bay where it can get into triple digits. Let's just say that you were right on schedule with being in the 80s-90s over the weekend.
