A Warning for [livejournal.com profile] head58

Remember how iTunes had 'The Complete U2' back in 2004, and how I hemmed and hawed about whether or not I wanted to download it?

Now comes this.

*twitchtwitch*

That works out to about $3/hour of music. :)

Not too bad, considering...it's about $20 more than the U2 set, but still the temptation is great...

However, as I can see the U2 one is still available, I'm sure this one will be as well...so I should probably wait... :p

Isn't your next anniversary the one where Depeche Mode is the traditional gift? :)

You know, I believe it is...

The problem is that it includes "Songs of Faith & Devotion Live," which is really just the SoF&D album played with some crown noise added in.

Seriously though, I have more than half of this stiff, and about 1/4 I don't want. I'd like some of the singles box stuf, but not all of it. I couldn't justify this. No way no how. Plus it would all be in crappy itunes format and I'd have to convert it before I could listen to it.

(plus, Ali would KEEL me! :)

I have to agree with you on that one. I don't have the first few albums on cd (and my hard-drive copy of BC is from my tape), so I think I'd be better off downloading the albums I need plus the singles boxes. The rare stuff just doesn't seem all that exciting to me, as it's just yet another remix of a song. That's the main problem I have with their later singles.

My other problem is the same I had with the U2 set--even though it's "Complete", it's missing stuff. (I noticed the original single of U2's "All I Want Is You" doesn't have the b-side--Unchained Melody--on the download, but I digress) But that's just me being picky. :p

I'll let you know what I decide on this...
