Package Update

Dear USPS;

You're lucky I'm cursed with a tremendous amount of patience.

I drove up to your North Beach "store" and picked up the two packages that were waiting for me, even though I had scheduled a redelivery for TODAY. I won't complain, since you got an earful of me in my last open letter.

On the plus side, I am happy that [livejournal.com profile] sleepingdragon's package was one of them, and is now safely in my apartment. I should at least thank you for making sure it's in one piece. As for the combustibles that got sent, let's just hope they're still good. Let's just say you wouldn't want to get between me and a half-sheet of sugary goodness. ;)

Now about that "it'll get there before the 23rd" package...still waiting, kids.

And please--tell our delivery person that paging is a GOOD thing.

Other than that, I'll be nice and wish you a Happy New Year. :)

Your somewhat less annoyed pal,
joncwriter

PS: One more thing...
Okay, the package for the 23rd was via UPS, so I apologize for blaming you for that. UPS got an earful from my sister and they're giving her a refund at that.

So we're even, USPS. We got all our packages, and in one piece. Just a little late. Let's try a little better next time, okay? Thanks!

You got things you can set on fire? Now that's a great friend! :)

I suppose you could use them as firewood if they're stale, but I'm not sure you couldn't cure that by dunking them in milk.
