So far, so good...

So far my unofficial diet and other related changes in health are doing quite well. I've seriously cut down on soda drinking, and what soda I am drinking is actually diet or Fresca. Lynxie "accidentally" bought me a Diet Dew the other day, so that helps too. The only bad thing I've had so far is one of those Tasty Kake cookie bars today, the Candy Corn Soda From Hell last night, and a 3 Musketeers yesterday. Not bad considering the amount of sugar I usually consume. Now all I need to do is cut down on the sugar in the coffee!

And in other news, I got a refund from my car insurance place...apparently I had some money coming to me! This will definitely help, especially since I need a)to pay Emm for the SF plane fare, b)get the gas tank fixed before I sell the car (NOTE: this one depends on who I sell it to...if a garage gets it, then they can fix it themselves), and c)find out the remaining payoff for the car loan so I can get it paid off and get the title!

And this weekend I'm going up to Clean Sweep part of the house.

Yup, everything is running nicely right now... :)

It was accidentally. The label is just a lighter color and I thought it was new packaging to make it more neon.

Yep, uh-huh... ;)

But hey, like I said, no complaints...well, not anymore, anyway. I figure my problem was that I was drinking too much diet soda at once and that was making me feel ill. If I just keep myself from drowning in it (like someone else in the house that I know....) then I should be fine.

after hitting a high of about a half a gallon of diet pepsi a day, I have dropped to 2 cans a day, with an extra 12-20 ounces if I am exhausted.

Sweetner in coffee

I have started to use Splenda in my coffee when I can...'cause it's more of a natural sweetner than the blue or pink stuff. (This is tantamount to drinking a diet soda in calories, I believe. Diet coffee? Ew.)

Another tip I thought I'd mention is the use of cinnamon. I've discovered that the REASON I use sugar in my coffee is to cut down on the bitter content. Cinnamon cuts it out significantly. Not completely. But if you normally use two packets (say) of sugar in your coffee, you could try 1 packet of sugar and a coupla shakes of cinnamon.

Worth a try, eh?

Hon, I'm trying to cut him DOWN to 2 packets!!!!

I find I cannot tolerate Splenda, it's TOO sweet. But then I do not have much of a sweet tooth.

Cinnamon sounds like a good idea! I'll look into that...
