[Pix] Weekends

Been a nice couple of weekends here in town, so I thought I'd share some views... :)

Is this thing on?

After a hefty breakfast at Pat's Cafe a few weeks ago, we decided to walk it off and walked up part of Francisco Street where it goes up the back end of Russian Hill, and got a neat shot of Telegraph Hill from a side street, Bret Harte Terrace (no, not the wrestler, but local author and poet).

Yeah, I know it's mostly sky. Arty shot from when we stopped for ice cream at BiRite down in the Mission...this is from the northeastern corner of Mission Dolores Park. Just wanted to show just how beautiful the sky was that day! :p

First Second cup o' the day! One of our favorite local hangouts, where they have some damn tasty food. This morning I had the incredibly fattening and filling buscuits and sausage gravy. YUM. Oh, and please note the all-important sugar nearby. ;)

Yup, that famous twisty street at the top part of the hill! (And for those playing the home game, the Real World: SF house is about halfway down the block below, on the left side. ;) )

A rare moment with the Embarcadero almost devoid of traffic! This was taken this morning near the Green Street intersection, looking north. The middle section where the rows of palms are is where the F-train heads down from our neighborhood towards downtown, and is our daily commute to work. :)

One last pic...this is the Red Jack Saloon, which is the next block down from us. This is where:
A) the place is owned by two Boston ex-pats (note the Sox and Celtics banners!)
B) the customers wake us up at 2am on weekends on a consistent basis
C) they once offered marriage ceremonies--hetero and otherwise--during a Pride Week
D) you can meet an actual ex-con who spent time on Alcatraz. :p

Say what you will, but this city is definitely photogenic...
